Herring Room & Balcony
Our beautiful Herring Room and Balcony has seen a countless number of birthdays, engagements and various other functions. The room and balcony
overlooks the charismatic Lydiard Street and can cater for up to 65 guests seated, 80 standing as well as 80 guests outside on the blacony.
The Herring Room and Balcony has a reputation of providing guests with a relaxed atmosphere. Additionally, this historic space can offer a delicious array of food such as canapes, hot and cold platters as well as a sit down dinner.
A spacious floor area means there is room for a dance floor if necessary, and a cutting-edge AV system, which includes a projector, enabling the venue to cater for all private events, including weddings, engagements, and birthday parties. It is
also the perfect setting for conferences, product launches, and other corporate events.

Garden Bar
The Garden Bar is a perfect modern space filled with lush greenery and is situated on the ground level, adjacent to The Lane. The Venue is perfect for a cocktail party or a pop up event. Regardless of the function, this exclusive space is available
throughout the year.
If weather permits, you are also able to have alfresco tables alongside the Garden Bar, creating a picturesque setting for you and your guests.
Our committed team takes pride in always providing the best service thus helping create a relaxed atmosphere throughout the night. This intimate setting also includes a private long bar where your drinks are put together by our
incredible bar staff.

Heritage Bar
The Heritage bar has a charm of it’s own with it’s Victorian - era architecture and natural light. Guests can indulge in the ultimate hospitality experience with our intimate booth seating. This space is the embodiment of grandeur and class.
Whether it’s an engagement party or a milestone birthday, the Heritage Bar can hold a variety of occasions. If you are looking at impressing your guests from out of town, this is the place to do it!
Located right alongside the vibrant Lydiard Street, there is never a dull moment inside or outside this space. Our wonderful staff will always work alongside you during your function to make sure your every need is taken care of.

The Lane
The Lane functions as a cafe during the day but at night, transforms into a beautiful semi outdoor space for live music and entertainment. On Friday and Saturday nights, the Lane offers stylish and casual family dining in a welcoming environment.
Due to it's location, your event can be hosted in the centre of town where the all the action is. Whether you want your function to be upmarket and
sophisticated or informal or relaxed, the Lane can provide you with the best of both worlds.
The Lane also has its own bar and entrance with an alfresco area for corporate events, birthday parties, engagements, family celebrations and more.
Please note The Lane is a public space and cannot be reserved for functions.

Rafters Nightclub
The Rafters nightclub is Ballarat’s largest indoor event space. This space can hold up to 350 guests with room to move. The Lounge has a full bar dedicated to your function and is very versatile in terms of privacy of space. It can be fully
closed of from the rest of the venue with sound- proof windows and floor to ceiling black curtains.
Rafters offers a plush and intimate refuge, resplendent in the old world comforts of leather and is conveniently equipped with its own unique bar to service patrons exclusively. The space is available for private hire for dinner parties and
intimate cocktail functions, with the option of opening the sliding glass doors to flow into The Garden Bar and therefore accommodate a greater number of guests.
It's vast ceiling, festooned with soft lighting, is something of a starlit wonderland at night, transforming any party into a magical celebration.

Howie Boardroom
The Howie Boardroom is perfect for small scale, private meetings and can seat up to 10 people. The facilities in the room include a projector, screen and complimentary whiteboard.
Our professional team ensures everything runs as smooth as possible and on time. This includes breaks, catering, audio/ video requirements as well as accommodation if required.
With a beautiful Victorian facade, and internal grandeur of an Art Deco heritage building, the Howie Boardroom on Lydiard Street is the ideal location for your next board meeting. Centrally located in Ballarat’s CBD and close to several corporate headquarters, the room is ideally placed near Ballarat Station to easily accommodate international and interstate guests.
